February 11 ~

O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps ... A man's mind plans his way, but the LORD directs his steps ...

Homo Canalis Spiritibus?^* Me?
Not Homo Sapiens?^** Such I can't be?
I'm not innately wise? My thoughts don't come
from "me" – but from devil or the Son
(or His Anointing, dwelling deep within,
Who points me to the Son and out of sin)?
Yet all originate – are sent by – God?
Then I'm not self-contained at all! How odd!
I'd always thought my thoughts were "mine" – that they
stemmed from within, from "Self." But now Thou say
'tis God directs man's steps. Though in my case
(as a believer) I can choose, by faith,
Christ-thoughts - His Mind! - as mine, which will make me
Homo Canalis Spiritum Christi!^***

... there is only one God, the Father, from whom everything comes ... from whom all being comes ... The steps of a man are from the LORD, and he establishes him in whose way he delights ... "I am the Way, the Truth" ... "the devil ... is ... the father of lies" ... your old self ... ruins you as it follows the desires that deceive you ... the serpent of ancient times, who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world ... if a man is in Christ he becomes a new person ... if anybody is in union with Christ, he is the work of a new creation ... He shall eat curds and honey when he knows how to refuse the evil and choose the good ... Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus ...
