By grace are ye saved through faith ... The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, the LORD hath made even both of them ... "No one can come to Me, unless the Father who sent Me draws him" ... Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things freely given to us by God, which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit ... a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God; for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised ... But we have the mind of Christ ...

Alas, dear Christian brother, it is not
wise trains of logic but the Grace of God
doth open souls to His reality!
From Him come hearing ears and eyes that see!
First cometh Grace! Then Logic's arguments
can find reception (if of Godly sense).
Till then in bondage languish human souls
-- in sin: in Satan! For 'tis he who doles
out twisted, hopeless, cold philosophies!
Lo! flesh and blood - men! - aren't our enemies
but spiritual hosts of wickedness
which enter men as their "own" thoughts. God says
all men to sin He hath Himself consigned
-- yet offers to His called ones Christ's Own Mind!

I know, O LORD, that the way of man is not in himself, that it is not in man who walks to direct his steps. Correct me, O LORD, but in just measure; not in thy anger, lest thou bring me to nothing ... Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus ... He who trusts in his own mind is a fool; but he who walks in wisdom will be delivered ... Christ Jesus, whom God has made our wisdom ... lay aside the old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit ... the devil ... is ... the father of lies ... the truth is in Jesus ...
