March 2 ~

And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience ... "You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him" ... And whence the thoughts that press at nat'ral man?
E'er since the Fall, his soul's been plagued by them!

They enter from below! They stem from sin
-- from Satan's dark dimension deep within.
No gentleman is he! -- no need to ask
him to invade the soul. This is his task:
to tempt, delude, through the sin-nature rule
o'er hapless man, make him th'unwitting tool
of mankind's enemy (deceiver too!)
-- the evil regent, prince of darkness, who
harasses ev'ry soul that God doth call
to make Christ's Nature, Spirit, Self its All.

The devil is the challenge God doth give
His children to o'ercome, and in Christ live!

I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one ... To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God ... And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death ... lay aside that old human nature ... and put on the new nature of God's creating ... put on the new self ... put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ ...
