March 3 ~

Jesus looked up to heaven and said ..."This is everlasting life -- to know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You sent" ... He that loveth not, knoweth not God; for God is love ... "This I command you, to love one another" ... Love ... does not seek its own ... bears all things ... endures all things ... Put off your old nature which ... is corrupt through deceitful lusts ... and put on the new nature, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness ...

If disobedient my nature is
- innately sinful, wrathful (not like His!) -
then my Self-nature I must rise above.
There's naught in mine resembles selfless Love
-- and just such Love doth God command of me
if Life Eternal in His Son I'd see!
A Supernat'ral Nature I, by faith,
must put on in my wrathful nature's place!
And how do I do that? By turning from
my old Self when its thoughts/emotions come
- each time it tries to be again my life -
and take on in Self's place the Life of Christ
by looking unto Jesus, asking Him
to drive the darkness out and dwell within!
