For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God ... men of depraved mind ...

Alas! they've elevated nat'ral man
to godhood: crowned man's Self and made it king!
Hence Selfishness they now no longer ban
but deem it needful if one is to bring
the Self to full fruition. Self comes first!

And what of Selflessness and Self-Control?
And Self-Submission? "Nothing could be worse!"
they cry. "Self-Realization is the goal!
Self is Innately Noble! Make sure it
is never held down, spanked, reined in, repressed.
Let children be their Self! Do not permit
their rights by parents e'er to be suppressed!"

But don't hate, murder, disrespect result?
Of course! But hush -- lest thou the Self insult!
