March 10 ~

You search and investigate and pore over the Scriptures diligently, because you suppose and trust that you have eternal life through them. And these [very Scriptures] testify about Me! And still you are not willing (but refuse) to come to Me, so that you might have life ...

Thy precious Word! My soul it nurtures, feasts,
then points beyond itself, O Lord, to Thee!
It knows that I am dull, hence oft repeats
its wondrous message: that Thou art in me
and would the Essence of my life become
-- Source of my thoughts, my Joy, my Wisdom, Love,
my Righteousness, my All, until, O Son,
'tis Thee - Thy very Spirit - I am of.
O precious Living Word, Thy Written Word
doth constantly remind me of my task:
to turn from Self and cleave to Thee, the Lord,
so I fore'er within Thy Light may bask!
Enable me Thy Word to not just read
but its commands to dwell in Thee to heed!
