... when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly ... God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him ... we shall be saved by his life ... so live in Him ... walk in Him ... you must continue living in vital union with Him ... abide in Him, so that if He should appear, we may have confidence and not shrink away from Him in shame at His coming ...

Conditionality
No question is there that His Love for me
was unconditional, and that He died
for my old sins, and cleansed me -
totally! -
by His propitiatory death:
denied
His human will -
His Own desire to live -
and perished. And then rose that He might give
His very Life as my own Life to be!
And having paid that price - climbed up that hill
for my redemption - He then gave to me
full pow'r through faith -
through Him! -
to do His will
--
heed His commands. Conditionality
He thus put into play. For I will stay
in His Love and see Life if I obey.
Help me, O Lord; be Thou my Strength -- today!

... keep yourselves in God's love, as you look for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to give you eternal life ...
