I should accept this fact? My thoughts are snares
if they dwell on Self's failings, cares, despairs?

Yes, child. If thy Life I have now become,
the first thing from which thou should always run
is thine own joyless thoughts! Look unto Me!
Eschew their cunning logics. They'd trap thee!
(More: not to look to Me is disobedience!
Let that reminder put in thee some sense!)
I'm here both to be served, child, and to serve.
There's no one good, nor doth My grace deserve.
Yet I give it if asked! Dare thou believe
enough to ask for grace? Child, I don't leave,
forsake, abandon ... I deliver thee!
Confess thine unbelief -- and come to Me!
