Fight the good fight of the faith, take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you testified so well to your faith before many witnesses ... as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God ... put on the Lord Jesus Christ ... That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life ... And this is the witness: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Those who have the Son have the life; those who do not have the Son of God do not have the life ...

Saved from assurance of eternal death:
saved from a state of total hopelessness
and given Hope: Hope of Eternal Life ¾
and given Pow'r to take hold, put on Christ
Who is that Life: Eternal Life's in Him!
He's now available to me within!
Lo! God has given me the Pow'r of Faith
to enter into Jesus' blest embrace.
And, more, a Helper He hath given me
to teach, convict, remembrance give, and be
the Still Small Voice within - my wondrous Guide -
Who says, "Look unto Jesus - now! - abide
in Him, child; walk in Him! He is the Way."
