Love's joyous Presence swirls throughout this frame
each time I step aside to let Thy Life
by faith be mine. Self's exit bringeth gain!
For Thou art Joy. Thy Presence is delight!
And Self? ... Compendium of psychic pain!
It vanishes when I dare set my sight
on Thee, Lord Jesus. Praise Thy Holy Name!
Escape from darkness to the Realm of Light!
The things of this world, real though they may seem,
but shadows are of Thy Reality!
I'm but a vapor ... living in a dream ...
kaleidoscopes of images I see ...
Yet Love,
Thy Love,
pervades this strange, strange scene
for here Agape Love Thou teachest me ...

For now we are looking in a mirror that gives only a dim (blurred) reflection [of reality as in a riddle or enigma] ... What is the nature of your life? You are [really] but a wisp of vapor –
a puff of smoke, a mist –
that is visible for a little while and then disappears ... Beloved, let us love one another; for love [springs] from God, and he who loves ... is coming (progressively) to know and understand God ... if we love one another, God abides (lives and remains) in us and His love [that love which is essentially His] is brought to completion --
to its full maturity, runs its full course, is perfected --
in us!
