If any one thinks he is something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself ... "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me" ... The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge ... Stop your striving ... Let be! ... Be still, and know that I am God ...

Pride - Satan! - makes me large in my own eyes
so Thou must constant cut me down to size
until the day dawns when at last I'll take
joy in my tininess and let Thee make
whate'er of me Thou will ¾ whate'er Thou will!
Especially, I know, Thou want to fill
this fragile vessel with Thy Self, until
Thou art the All of me. My soul, be still!
Know He is God! And let Him have His way.
Yes, passive be! Thy prime job is to pray:
to look to Him with Joy whilst letting go
of all claims to thy Self. Self is thy foe!
Let be! Let go! And enter into Him.
All struggling cease! His Peace, His Rest thou'lt win ...
