What is man, that thou dost make so much of him, and that thou dost set thy mind upon him, dost visit him every morning, and test him every moment? ... "Temptations to sin must come" ... I was worried in case the tempter had tempted you, and all our hard work had gone for nothing ... No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able ... But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ ... Through thee we push down our foes ...

Life for the Christian? Endless challenges!
Each moment I am tested! Thy Word says
temptations must come! Thou hast made things so.
Thou regulate each one, so it won't go
beyond my present capability
to overcome it, cleaving, Lord, to Thee.
This is Thy goal for me in all Thou do!

Clear it becomes, upon reflection's view:
No matter what life brings, Thou challenge me
to find my Answers, Peace and Love in Thee
-- to leave Self's cloying, anxious, fretting mind,
rejecting ev'ry thought not clearly Thine
while looking unto Thee to take its place
till firmly fixed mine eyes are on Thy face!
