Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers ... not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this ... bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ ... Test all things; hold fast what is good. Abstain from every form of evil ... solid food is for the mature, who because of practice have their senses trained to discern good and evil ...

Agreeing to Die
The prime task then is not to trust but test
each thought that comes to me. If I'd be blest
I must make sure Compassion -
Godly Love -
doth fill my heart: make sure I'm truly of
Thy Spirit, Lord, before I speak or act:
that Thine Own Patience, Wisdom, Kindness, Tact
are in my soul: that Thou show forth through me
and not my fleshly Self. O set me free
from my consuming thoughts, my angers, pride
--
from all dislike, from all the thoughts inside
that do not stem from Thee. Give me Thy Peace
and from the pow'r of sin my soul release.
Give me discernment, Jesus, so I'll know
I am of Thee. O let me let Self go!

The end of all things is at hand; therefore keep sane and sober for your prayers. Above all hold unfailing your love for one another, since love covers a multitude of sins ... And above all these put on love ... put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh ... Amen! Come, Lord Jesus!
