December 15 ~
We walk by faith ... not by sight or appearance ... we consider and look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen; for the things that are visible are temporal (brief and fleeting), but the things that are invisible are deathless and everlasting ... even the hairs of your head are all numbered ... What is the nature of your life? You are [really] but a wisp of vapor -
a puff of smoke, a mist -
that is visible for a little while and then disappears ...
2Cor.5:7, 4:18 (Amp); Matt.10:30 (RSV); Js.4:14 (Amp)
Birth
Deep hidden are the true realities!
Things seen? Naught are they but apparencies!
Earth's but a shaping place where each event,
each thought -
each happenstance! -
is planned and sent:
contrived by God to such infinitude
(our hairs are numbered!) that all's rigged, previewed,
all's preordained, all moves as in a dream
wherein the struggling dreamer in a stream
(caught by his thoughts) is willy-nilly drawn,
swept on t'ward ... glowing ends ... drawn t'ward the dawn
of Life! For this domain's a birth canal
dark, tortuous ... 'Tis at its end that all
falls into place, all enters into Light ...
O, lead me on to birth through this strange night!
______________________
We shall not all die, but we shall all be changed, in a split second, in the time it takes to blink an eye, when the last trumpet sounds ... the dead shall be raised never to die again, and we shall be changed. This nature, which is subject to decay ... must be clothed with the life that can never die ... And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life ...
1 Cor.15:51,52,53 (Bar); 1 Jn.5:11-12 (KJV).
