Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us ... the child to be born will be called holy, the Son of God ... Christmas
Each day I pray, Lord, it will Christmas be
--
that Thou'lt come down to dwell and rule in ... me!
Each day, in other words, I pray Thou art
born and more fully formed within my heart
whilst I, just as a little child, through faith
come unto Thee, mine eyes fixed on Thy face,
by Love possessed, adoring, praising Thee
not only for Thy gift of Calvary
(atonement for my sins: cleansed in God's sight:
hence free to upward climb, fight the good fight)
but also, Lord, because Thy Life Thou gave -
and give -
to be Thy children's own --
to in us live
and free us from Self's bondage unto sin
so we in Thee can life eternal win!

For if ... we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son; much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life ...
