Beginnings: 2 ~
Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall shine [make day dawn] upon you and give you light
Shine -- be radiant with the glory of the Lord; for your light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you!
No one is able to come to Me unless the Father Who sent Me attracts and draws him and gives him the desire to come to Me
The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, the LORD hath made even both of them
The Lord GOD has opened my ear
Eph.5:14 (Amp); Is.60:1 (Amp); Jn.6:44 (Amp); Prov.20:12 (KJV); Is.50:5 (RSV)
The Call
Then came the day when I felt God's Own hand
upon me, helping me to understand
that He is real -- that He was drawing me
to His Own Self, to Jesus. I could see,
all of a sudden, wonders marv'lous, true
which hitherto had been hid from my view
-- that an incredible reality
of Light exists, a wondrous purity
just on the other side of things. And I
- e'en I! - was being called by God; that my
fate
destiny!
was in His hands, not mine
Lo! Thou wert calling me, Lord, to be Thine:
to give myself to Thee, to let Thee be
my very Life, to cleanse me, set me free!

The sun shall be no more your light by day, nor for brightness shall the moon give light to you; but the Lord shall be to you an everlasting light, and your God your glory and your beauty
Create in me a clean heart, O God
where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty -- emancipation from bondage, freedom
