The Plunge, and Five Timely Warnings

Warning Five: Settle Not for Less!

No matter what to thee thy Lord doth send,
He'd have thee love both enemy and friend.
Indeed, my soul, He'd have thee perfect be
which thou know is impossible for thee!
Hence He must draw thee, crowd thee to Himself.
Perfection is in Him and nowhere else!
In Christ alone thou'lt find true Love, Joy, Peace:
fruit thou must have if thou'd the Father please.
Prerequisite to having Him show forth
such fruit through thee? Thou must make Him thy Source!
Thou must agree to settle not for less
than Christlike thoughts: must look to Him to bless
thee with deliv'rance from thy human mind
and into His. Then through thee He will shine!

I want you to be filled with that harvest of goodness which Christ Jesus alone can give, and which moves men to glorify and praise God ... filled with the fruit of righteousness which comes through Jesus Christ ... the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace ... Now the Lord is that Spirit ... we have the mind of Christ ... Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus ... Looking unto Jesus ... meet for the master's use ...
